NGP For $299? GameStop Says Yes
Apparently, ubiquitous game retailer GameStop has in its internal database Sony’s soon-to-be-released NGP for a sweet price of $299.
Sony Brings To The Table Its Prototype 3D Headset
At CES Sony showed up big. Only problem is, the company’s an electronics giant, hence the many other products to show off. It’s gaming showing at the show was rather bland, but don’t think the orient company didn’t have nothing up its sleeves.
How about a personal 3D display headset? What was shown’s a prototype, but mercy, that thing has me dreaming of GT5 in virgin 3D form: untethered.
PSPGo Now Hacked
When it rains, it pours. Sony’s experiencing a nasty flood right now.
Right after Geohot cracked the PS3 and released its rook key on the internet for everyone and their mama to see, the PSPGo has now been hacked to play pirated full disc games.
Biggest Year In Gaming History Will Be 2011, Massive Game Release Schedule Unveiled
You know what? I’ll call it: 2011 will usher gaming into new realms. From 3D gaming, the Kinect revolution, which, by the way, technology developer PrimeSense is taking to PCs. We have the PSP2, the 3DS and probably the WiiHD or Wii2 coming all this year. That’s on the hardware side of things alone.
As for software, 2011 trumps all the years before it like a bulldozer ridding a piece of land of its grass. This year alone we’ll have Killzone 3, Gears of War 3, another Call of Duty, not to mention Black Ops DLC. Bulletstorm, Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, inFamous 2, Dead Space 2, Mass Effect 2 and so on.
Thankfully, GameInformer’s forged up a massive list featuring a release schedule for all platforms this year, including the DS and PSP. Apparently, according to the author, Far Cry 3 will be released in August of this year. Don’t know where he got that from so we’ll have to wait to hear more.
Either ways, hit the link, I think you’ll get to understand better why gaming’s all the buzz this year, and why it’ll leave many a gamer broke. Dead broke.

Just when you thought your wallet couldn’t stretch any further, Sony drops a bombshell on the gaming world, steering it towards December 12th, one day after the Video Games Awards is held in full Hollywood style.
Can anybody say Uncharted 3? It’s just my humble guess.
PS3 To Pass Xbox 360 For Good Says Analyst
Ah, forget all the North America victories Microsoft’s experiencing with its Xbox 360 when it comes to sales and install base; it’s the world that matters according to the analysts. And considering the world is a big place, DFC Intelligence’s David Cole believes Sony’s PS3 has the advantage and will soon overtake the Xbox 360′s lead for good.

Numbers: God of War III Hits 3 Million Sold, Is That Enough?
It’s the best Hack-n-Slash title ever made. There are countless “counterfeits” sprouting from all corners of the industry, copy and pasting many elements of Santa Monica’s game, and like a carbon copy, duplicating said elements in theirs. Those games have gone on to sell millions, not more than God of War III, but close enough.
Here’s my question? Is selling 3 million copies of one of this generation’s most celebrated titles enough to be called a success? I’ll never understand why other games sell tens of millions while those that have defined the industry struggle to keep up.
In Japan, There Will Be Glasses-Less 3DTVs By December
Technology slow down? Don’t count on it. We’ve seen more breakthroughs in the last 5 years than we’ve seen in the last 5,000. So when Sony decided it would take the 3D dive, spending major bucks boasting of the PS3′s capabilities of said technology, it was a good move. Many scoffed, yes, but the giant has seen many battles, and it knows how to win a war.
On the 3D front, many including Sony’s nemesis, said glasses were just “not cool”, and that it would just be a passing phase. Even Michael Pachter said the same. But now, straight out of Japan, we’ve learned that electronics giant Toshiba will have glasses-less 3DTVs in Japan by the end of the year. This year.
“Who Needs Blu-ray?” Utters Microsoft UK Xbox Boss
The PS3 needs it, Hollywood needs it, Samsung, Toshiba, Hitachi, Panasonic, LG, and Sony need it. Also, the Xbox 360 could use some more space, too.
Microsoft has always been a strong critic of Blu-ray, saying things like the format will be extinct before it gets time to catch on and things of that nature.
But is that so? It’s been over 5 years since Blu-ray debuted, and its popularity has only grown with the advancement of time. So what’s Microsoft stance on the format now, you ask? According to the giant’s UK boss, Stephen McGill, “who needs Blu-ray”.
