And just like that, just like the morning that comes with a bright shinning sun, and fades into dark so another part of the world could enjoy its warmth, another week has come and gone.
But we’re still here are we not? Indeed. It’s because we share this common thing…. this passion for videogames and community. Have you guys realized that our industry’s one of the most innovative? It’s also the most fun place to be! Let’s be grateful for the developers who work so hard to bring us great experiences, hoping they continue to do just that.
Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft, too. Those three companies are the major players in the console market, and it’s because of them we’re having so much fun today. We’ll talk about Sony and Nintendo another time but today, over the weekend, right here on the quencher, let’s focus our minds on Microsoft shall we?
It’s the weekend, friends.
The company came swinging into this, the seventh generation of consoles, and being the first one out the door in 2005, it managed to build strong momentum that has lasted until now. But something’s happening at Redmond that has me somewhat perturbed. The software giant isn’t building first party studios, and those it has are dead set on building Kinect experiences. Today, were learned that Gears of War 3, the Xbox 360′s biggest exclusive, save Halo, won’t be seeing its promised release of April, 2011, instead Microsoft has chosen a much later date.
Is it because the company doesn’t have any significant title to release at the latter end of the year to compete with Sony’s lineup? What’s going on with MS? In your opinion, is the company on the right track, or is it racing towards a head on collision? Let us know your take on that.
Most importantly, though, what are you doing this weekend? I’ll be very busy, meetings all tomorrow, and Sunday, after service, I’ll be hanging out with family and friends.
On the gaming front, it’s some Red Dead Redemption for me, and hopefully some F12010 racing. Anybody wants to get online? Oh, and before I forget, are we still going for Medal of Honor 2010 to play online together, or should we choose another title since EA went the route it did?
Any talk goes here — anything.
Let’s hear it.
I was excited for the Time Crisis Razing Storm game, but I just found out that it only has local co-op and not online. It has an 8 vs. 8 competitive mode, but I do not care for that; I wanted it to play co-op with my friends on the arcade mode, and arcade rail shooters are not that fun alone. so this takes another game off my list. I am down to Assassin’s Creed and GT5. Oh well, it saves me money for next year.
when does the Assassin’s Creed Beta start in the U.S.?
Hey bro, I think the beta started on September 27th here.
Yeah, I’m down to about the same list: GT5 and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood.
Really week. Also, it got delayed and I could not remember the date, but I found somewhere that said Oct. 4. So tomorrow. We should download it and play.
Oh, good, we’ll do that for sure. I wonder what time it’ll be available? Doesn’t matter anyway. We’ll definitely get on there!
yeah, I hope it is really fun. I will get that game no matter what though. I want to play the single player. Also, are there any games your getting in October that have MP?
Man that’s the thing. I was dead set on MOH. What else is good out there apart from AC:Brotherhood that you think is good?
How about some racing online? GT5.
Totally. I will be playing GT5 online a lot. That is why I am kind of glad the only other game I want is Assassin’s Creed.
