According to the software giant, the new software will be optimized for “tablets, PCs, a variety of different form factors.”

Uncharted On NGP Gets Naughty Dog All “Excited”

At Sony’s Tokyo meeting, where the giant revealed the beastly NGP, many grand franchises were on display. From Call of Duty, to Killzone, Resistance and LittleBigPlanet – but the biggest PS3 name of them all was Uncharted.

It’ll be coming to the portable console courtesy Sony Bend, and according to Naughty Dog’s community strategist Arne Meyer, the studio’s “really excited” to see the game on NGP.

The NGP announcement that rocked the tech world last Thursday saw many a developer, publisher and gaming journalists alike confidence in Sony’s ability to capture the attention of people with, dare a say it, sexy hardware, reestablished. And rightfully so. Many had lost hope that the giant would be able to successfully sync itself with the wave of change that’s happening in this industry, especially in the mobile phone space, a space that’s been viable for many developers who’ve actually seen more profit on mobile phones that run Apple’s iOS and Android systems. But it seems Sony’s set to change all that with a feature that comes ready on NGP: The PlayStation Suite. And with Android speedily chipping in on the iOS’s dominance, Sony actually stands a chance of cornering a portion of the market for itself that will be extremely lucrative in the coming years.

Nintendo 3DS Will Launch On March 27th In US For $249, Europe March 25th(Update)

Update: The 3DS will sell for £229.99 in the UK according to retailers HMV and Game. With Amazon France and GameStop having listed a European price of €249.99.

Big news coming out of both New York and Amsterdam today, as Nintendo holds simultaneous events promoting its latest handheld machine. The big news? The system’s release date and price has been announced. It’ll land in the U.S. on March 27th for the decent price of $249, and in Europe on March 25th. No price has been announced for the latter region.
