Biggest Year In Gaming History Will Be 2011, Massive Game Release Schedule Unveiled

You know what? I’ll call it: 2011 will usher gaming into new realms. From 3D gaming, the Kinect revolution, which, by the way, technology developer PrimeSense is taking to PCs. We have the PSP2, the 3DS and probably the WiiHD or Wii2 coming all this year. That’s on the hardware side of things alone.

As for software, 2011 trumps all the years before it like a bulldozer ridding a piece of land of its grass. This year alone we’ll have Killzone 3, Gears of War 3, another Call of Duty, not to mention Black Ops DLC. Bulletstorm, Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, inFamous 2, Dead Space 2, Mass Effect 2 and so on.

Thankfully, GameInformer’s forged up a massive list featuring a release schedule for all platforms this year, including the DS and PSP. Apparently, according to the author, Far Cry 3 will be released in August of this year. Don’t know where he got that from so we’ll have to wait to hear more.

Either ways, hit the link, I think you’ll get to understand better why gaming’s all the buzz this year, and why it’ll leave many a gamer broke. Dead broke.

It just may be, Ernice. I know I will probably purchase more quality games this year than ever before: LBP2, KZ3, Infamous 2, ME2 & 3, Motorstorm Apocalypse, Rage, Resistance 3, Uncharted 3 just to name a few notables.

  • http://www.gamesthirst.com Ernice Gilbert

Yes indeed, and I plan on purchasing all of the greats. Can’t leave a single one behind. Now’s the best time to be a gamer.

  • Joshua Tompkins

I am sure many of these will be pushed to 2012. I thinking mostly the ones that do not have a set release date.

  • http://www.gamesthirst.com Ernice Gilbert

Yeah, and they better, just too many releases. It’s looking like 2012, God’s willing, will be rather dry…

  • nick

i am alives not releasing till 2013.
    :(
ubisoft announced that last year at E3, apparently ubisoft shanghai has had some remodeling and thats delayed the game.
Saints Row 3Diablo III Max Payne 3 Assassin’s Creed III & Agent wont be releasing this year either.
THQ updated SR3 to FY2012 in there latest sales report.
diablo 3 never was releasing this year, they said 2012 at the soonest at blizcon last year.
MP3 wont be releasing this year because 2K have so many other big games to cram in this year, LA Noire being one of my most anticipated games of the year!
same goes for agent, not to mention its being built from the ground up, new rebuilt engine, new rebuilt environments ill be surprised if we see anything about it before E3 next year!
ubiosft said just before ACB came out that they were giving the series a rest, saying AC3 wont be out till 2012.
this year will be the biggest year in gaming history IF no more games get delayed!
but you know the drill, we enter the busy months starting july and everything gets delayed!
tis what happened ever since the latest systems came out!
one i really want this year but seriously doubt will get this year is the last guardian.
looks so cool that, but we have seen so little of it, and its such a huge ambitious project!

  • http://www.gamesthirst.com Ernice Gilbert

Wow, thanks for all that info, bro. At least my pocket can rest easy, if for the moment.

  • nick

    no probs.
not really, theres still more games than people would know what to do with them!
once LBP2 comes out on the 20th we have a game coming out almost every week till the end of april!

  • http://www.gamesthirst.com Ernice Gilbert

Yes, and I’m truly excited about that.

  • nick

another game im really looking forward to, but kinda worried about is true crime.
so looking forward to it because its a open world game, and i have loved the previous TC games.
worried about it because its been announced for like 2 years now and we have had like what 2 trailers and 1 preview?
for a game thats suppose to be released soon we certainly have not seen much of it, and we all know what that usually means.
not to mention its being published by antivision so there not exactly off to a good start!

Yeah, signs are bad, but let’s hope they deliver. Actvision’s dead focused on COD these days..
