Believers Thirst
For decades, Christians have been ignored in the gaming industry, and this attitude is still prevalent even in the forward thinking 21st century. Well, Gamesthirst.com wants to change that and obliterate the stigma once and for all.
In almost every segment of our culture, Christians are represented. Politics, Hollywood, Sports, are just some of the industries, and I see no reason why the gaming industry should lag behind.
In my opinion (and I know many will agree with me on this, and some won’t), apart from their well known IPs, Publishers and Developers should create games that relay a positive message of hope and yet contain great action, gameplay and storyline that can appeal to everyone who love games. Hollywood has done it many a times, and if Hollywood can, The gaming industry certainly can.
Some may argue, saying that there’s not a big enough market to make such efforts profitable, and I say to them, it’s plain nonsense. Look at ‘Passion of the Christ,’ How about ‘The Ten Commandments’ and a lot more Biblically based movies have been wildly successful and have proven to be even more profitable than their secular counterparts. Biblically based games will do even better.
To prove the skeptics wrong, BelieversThirst.com is forming a petition, one that will dispel the theory (Christian video games won’t sell) once and for all.
We are not trying to change the gaming industry, all we ask is that Christians be well represented.
Again, Gamesthirst.com is for everyone, we will bring you all the latest breaking news and so much more like we’ve mentioned above, but it’s also a site that Christians can make their home. Welcome one and all. Feel at home.
