Tomb Raider Trilogy PS2 vs PS3 Screenshot Comparison Is Rather Sexy

Lara Croft used to epitomize what it meant to be a sexy main protagonist in video games. When others failed, Lara held the fort, and the woman is set to take center stage once more in Crytal Dynamics upcoming reboot. But before that happens, the developer’s released a side-by-side screenshot comparison of its Tomb Raider Trilogy collection of games that’s set to release on March 22nd.

It shows Lara in her youthful days, and some of the environments we’ve grown to love in the legendary franchise.

Guerrilla Games Find Ways To “Unleash More Power” From PS3

by Ernice Gilbert on December 15th, 2010, under Guerrilla Games, Hot, News, Sony

Every year, after a massive PS3 exclusive has been released or is pending one, you’ll hear developers like Uncharted’s Naughty Dog, God of War’s Santa Monica, and Killzone’s Guerrilla Games sing the same song: “We’ve maxed out the PS3″.

But then another game comes along, and with that, new boasts of how they really hadn’t maxed the console with their last game, but rather rather optimized it. Now, according to Guerrilla Games, they’re finding more space on the venerable console, making Killzone 3 better in every way than its predecessor.

“Sheer optimization. We have a very talented technology team. They just kept hammering away at it. They just found more space and unleashed more power, basically,” Killzone 3 managing director Herman Hulst told 1up in an interview.

When asked if they were sharing their knowledge with other first party dev teams, Hulst uttered:

“Sure, yeah. The tech directors in particular. They regularly talk and share concepts. People always think we share engines, and that’s not so much the case, because we’re making very different games. We’re the team that makes the FPS. You can’t just exchange an engine, but you can converse and exchange concepts. I think on that level, the biggest chunk of collaboration happens.”

Killzone 3 should be the best looking shooter on any console, then.

That game comes available on February 22nd, in the U.S. Not date’s been set in stone for Europe, but expect it to be around the same time.
