With the incredible processing power of todays gaming systems, games more than ever have the potential of delivering some beautiful HD visuals. While facial animation, detailed character models and advanced physics simulators are all feeling the benefit of modern technology, nothing makes you stop and stare like an epic sweeping vista.

Some Vanquish reviews have been surfacing early, many of them praise the game for all the things it does right, including GameInformer magazine. However there was one problem noted in said review: the game was just too short. In fact it was completed in under 4hrs according to GI, and because of that, the mag gave it a 7.75/10.
Platinum Games writer JP Kellams cannot believe what he’s hearing, and on twitter, he loosed his thoughts on the situation.
Although the first Vanquish demo released by Platinum games was rather convincing, the developer feels obliged to release yet another. Why? So you could be thoroughly convinced of its greatness.
Talk about Vanquish on PS3 and Xbox 360 hit a fever pitch recently, with gamers arguing over the game’s visuals and on which console it looks better.
Kill that nonsense talk, gamers. Leave the worthless banter for the fanboys; because over at Platinum Games blog; Hideaki Nakata, the guy in charge of the game’s engine and overall engine tuning, has made some very interesting comments.
Just in case you’re good child who believes in having only one PSN account and wanted to play the Vanquish demo made available last week, we know you couldn’t get the thing because it was the Japanese version, and for that, you needed a Japanese account.
No need to worry any longer, though, because incoming next week, is the western Vanquish demo. See, it’s good to be a good child, is it not?
Ah Vanquish, many a gamer have been brushing off the TPS as another attempt to win money from the Western gamer, after all, the developers themselves said that Vanquish is geared more towards gamers in that region of the world.
But could the game be more than what we expect? Could Vanquish really turn out to be a serious contender for TPS of the year? Apparently, the guys at Insomniac Games are really enjoying it. You know Gears of War right? Right, then think of Vanquish as said title with a heavy does of “crack”.
The masterminds behind Bayonetta and the father of Resident Evil, Shinji Mikami, are joining forces for an action game so over the top that your brain won’t be able to process all the stuff happening on the screen. Vanquish blends the best of third person shooters with japanese robots, intense gameplay and some of the worst cheesy dialogues in recent times.
