When Platinum-developed game Bayonetta was released in Japan, it sold 93,000 on the PS3 and the Xbox 360 version selling 45,000 units in first day sales. Vanquish, however, didn’t fare so well.

Some Vanquish reviews have been surfacing early, many of them praise the game for all the things it does right, including GameInformer magazine. However there was one problem noted in said review: the game was just too short. In fact it was completed in under 4hrs according to GI, and because of that, the mag gave it a 7.75/10.

Platinum Games writer JP Kellams cannot believe what he’s hearing, and on twitter, he loosed his thoughts on the situation.
