Some Vanquish reviews have been surfacing early, many of them praise the game for all the things it does right, including GameInformer magazine. However there was one problem noted in said review: the game was just too short. In fact it was completed in under 4hrs according to GI, and because of that, the mag gave it a 7.75/10.
Platinum Games writer JP Kellams cannot believe what he’s hearing, and on twitter, he loosed his thoughts on the situation.
“GameInformer: ‘Don’t be surprised if you finish your first playthrough in four hours.’ Really? Because it would surprise the hell out of us,” he said through a tweet. Get the full rant through here.
The game hasn’t even gone on sale yet and already it’s the recipient of massive price cuts all across Europe according to MCV.
We have no idea why this is happening, but I’m sure we’ll know more soon enough.

hopefully its longer than that, im starting to get sick of all these 5 hour games.
MoH only took me 4 and a half hours to finish, much shorter than MW2.
wish there were retail rules governing how much publishers could charge for there title, make it that any game under 8 hours long on medium difficulty can only sell for maximum 50 AUD 50 less than normal games.
i think thats more than fair, why should a 18+ hour game like CLOS cost the same as a 5 hour game like MoH?
sure theres MP, but is that really worth the extra 50 bucks?

Yeah, that’s not a bad idea at all. Although I”m sure the developers would abhor this.
I see the reviews are saying it’s good. Might pick this up but at a cheaper price.
