Another Vanquish Demo Incoming

Although the first Vanquish demo released by Platinum games was rather convincing, the developer feels obliged to release yet another. Why? So you could be thoroughly convinced of its greatness.

According to Eurogamer, a second demo for Vanquish will come to both North America and Europe on October 22nd, just a few days before it goes on sale.

If you haven’t tried you hands with it yet, you should, the demo’s available on PSN and XBL. As for the second demo, it gives us a “part of an extra game mode and a separate entity next to the main story.”

With so many titles coming in the month of October, it’s good to know that, at least we’ll have another chance with the game to clearly make up our minds. And being that Vanquish’s style is different from all else on the market, surely it’ll standout amongst the crowd.

Buy the game October 19th in the US, and on the 22nd of the same month in Europe for PS3 and Xbox 360.

    day after it goes on sale, releases october 21 here.
    still not really interested in this, the demo just played like bayonetta with guns.
    it has no tactics to it, just like bayonetta its just a button masher in a sense.
    the enemies dont react to your actions at all, the AI is one part that really disappointed me allot of times i would flank them shoot them in the back and they would just stand still.
    yea, theres a guy shooting you in the back so maybe its a good idea to get out of the way or shoot back?
    allot of times i would get myself into a tight situation, id have no health left and be surrounded by enemies so they all run back and behind cover.
    i noticed the same thing in the quantum theroy demo, there was 5 enemies in front of me, a guy with a rocket launcher blew me up from behind i had almost no health left.
    so all the enemies in front of me had to do was shoot me once and i would of died.
    so what did they do?
    retreat to behind cover and give me plenty of time to recover and beat their a$$!
    AI is one of many things that is really hurting these games, there so much like KZ2.
    just cover, shoot, dodge grenade rinse and repeat.
    theres no inteligence in the enemies what so ever, i mean what is going to be more effective at killing me?
    shooting from cover, lobbing a grenade to force me out of cover than ambush me with several enemies?
    there is no tactics no strategy no logic in these games what so ever, its just cover and shoot till everyones dead.
    how boring!

    lol, not exactly.
    it just lacks the necessary things for a shooter.
    you need to have tactics, you need to have teamwork.
    you need to force the player to flank his enemies, keep him on his toes and make him constantly change his tactics.
    the enemies should constantly be scanning their environments and constantly scanning me and react to how i play.
    if im constantly staying behind cover, send heaps of enemies to flank me out.
    if i keep running and gunning than keep enemies at a distance and snipe me.
    thats the whole point of AI, to act like real humans to challenge me as if i was playing against a human.

    True. It’s a shame Vanquish doesn’t.
