Acitivision’s announced new DLC offering for Call of Duty: Black Ops dubbed ‘Resurrection’ which will be released on August 23rd, and at the same time announced that DLC for Black Ops have topped over 14 million sold.
The pack contains the new Moon level, four re-mastered levels of Zombie lore: Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa and Der Riese, the Zombie factory that started it all, an enhanced Zombies Soundtrack including three tracks never before available for purchase, and a new Zombies Moon theme.
Black Ops, according to Activision publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg was the number game in the U.S. and Europe for the first half of 2011, and as of now, gamers have logged in over 2.2 billion hours of gameplay in the venerable shooter.
Just a quick note on how popular the franchise is, Black Ops DLC alone has sold more copies than Crysis 2, Killzone 3, Bulletstorm and Homefront combined; and that’s after adding said titles DLC offering. For those who purchased the Hardened and Elite editions of Black Ops, the Resurrection DLC will be made available for free.
Resurrection will come first to Xbox Live and cost 1200 MS Points, and will hit PSN and PC about one month later.
