The PC version of RAGE hasn’t been the best to play at all. It’s no secret that said version, especially on AMD machines has suffered quite a bit of glitches and other issues. But through a new patch, it seems most of the problems have been addressed.
RAGE’s been available in the U.S. since Tuesday, but today our friends in Europe get their turn. The reviews hailed it as something special, although it vied to do nothing different.

id Software’s no stranger to developing big and critically acclaimed games. The firm’s is responsible for some of the biggest titles ever. Think DOOM, the “god-father” of first-person shooters, or Quake. But although all the aforementioned are great, RAGE is what’s hot, says the dev.
id Software is not novice developer. The firm literally invented the FPS genre with DOOM. On Tuesday the firm’s latest game dubbed RAGE, their first offering in a long time will go on sale for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, and it doesn’t really matter which platform you decide to purchase the shooter on, its textures will look the same across the boards.
RAGE is definitely a big game, and the shooter’s creative director Tim Willits has shared some details as to how big it really is. Firstly, it’ll need an 8GB install to work on your PS3, while the Xbox 360 version comes on 3 discs.
When id Software talk about RAGE, or show the game, it’s usually PC or 360 footage on hand, but finally coming out of the Tokyo Game Show are two videos showing the shooter running on PS3.

Most shooters these days, especially FPS titles, tend to give you 4-6hrs of single-player action. But when it comes to id Software’s RAGE, the developer’s going above and beyond to satisfy gamers, revealing the shooter’s story campaign is “about 15hrs” in length.

Rage comes out early next Month so it’s time for one last trailer to get anyone who isn’t already excited on the hype the train. Bethesda’s gone on and released the PC requirements of id Software’s RAGE, and by the look of things, you’ll need a beastly machine to run this bad boy.
RAGE creative director Tim Willits has said although the PC version of RAGE was “always solid”, the team’s putting some finishing touches on it, adding that extra polish so many games lack. He also said when it comes to DLC, they’re ready to go, but are waiting on gamer feedback first so they could craft the best offering possible.
