I’ve never seen a shooter that looks better on the PS3 than Killzone 3, never. But that’s just me, because there are some people who’ve apparently seen more than I have.
The guys of PlayStation: The Official Magazine traveled deep into the woods of France to meet the team at id Software, the developer credited for inventing the FPS and the same guys behind highly anticipated title, and Best Of E3 Awards: Rage.
To them, it’s the best looking shooter they’ve ever seen.
“The controls feel solid, the shotgun kicks like a mule, and once again, the visuals are second to none,” wrote the mag.
“Carmack and his team have harnessed the power of the PS3 as well as anyone.”
“Rage is the best looking shooter on PS3.”
And there you have it. The guys at PTOM are PlayStation lovers, of course, so for them to utter such a thing really means a lot.
Here’s to hoping that, along with the visuals, the gameplay, narrative, storyline etc., really combines seamlessly.
PlayStation: The Official Magazine’s latest issue is on store shelves across the US, pick up a copy, it’s packed with gaming goodness.
Rage will be out early next year for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

I’m getting both games so I’ll do my own comparison. Still coming from those guys it says a lot. Killzone 3 is by far my most anticipated game of early 2011 though.
Yes it is. It’ll be one for the ages.
thats no surprise, i mean john is a programming GOD!
scratch best looking shooter, its the best looking console game full stop!
yes, even better than GT5!
only game that can compete with RAGE is crysis 2, and R*s Agent.
Yeah, these guys know what they’re doing.
lets just hope this is a little more polished than those other bethesda games………………….
Yeah, I think they will. Don’t be surprised if New Vegas is bug less, though.
i certainly hope it is, fallout 3 is still one of my favorite games!
shame it had to be so freaking buggy!
You said you played it on 360, right?
no, ps3.
the 360 version was no where near as buggy as the ps3 version.
no, ps3.
the 360 version had no where near as many bugs as the ps3 version.
Yeah, I know remember that…
