NeoGAF’s leaked an internal Nintendo document showing off for the first time the firm’s new console’s specs, and to be quite honest, that thing is beastly. We kid you not: It’s compatible with GameCube and Wii. Blu-Ray with up to 50GB storage capacity. Hard drive 250-320 capacity and 1080p video output – and that’s just to name a few.

Biggest Project Cafe rumor to hit the net has just surfaced, as a trusted IGN source has told the site that not only is Project Cafe real, but the next-gen hardcore console could see a release this year if Nintendo so chooses. Lots more juicy details are also packed in the reveal, including design and pricing.
Just like the days of PS3 Slim, when all sorts of mock-up images were hitting the internet on what seemed to be a daily basis, the cycle for Project Cafe has commenced. See how terrible the first one looks below the break.
It’s a beastly machine, we all know that now. PS3 is. The console’s been around for going on five years, and still, according to Guerrilla Games managing director/co-founder Hermen Hulst, there’s much more power to be had, although he’s said in the past that they’d indeed maxed it out. A mistake he won’t make again.
We’ve heard the talk: ‘NGP’s as powerful as PS3′, and no developer’s come out and denied the claim. Yet many have said it’s true – but let’s not stop there. Is anyone else talking? Tim Sweeney, founder of Epic Games is, saying “Sony’s multi-core GPU is roughly 4x as powerful as any portable we’ve previously seen.”
Back in Killzone 2′s time, Guerrilla Games said they were pushing the PS3 on all cylinders, claiming to have “maxed out” Sony’s next gen system. But things changed swiftly when Uncharted 2 and God of War III came out, according to Guerrilla Games Steven Ter Heide: “It’s like, okay, there’s a little bit more power in there and we need to find it,” he said recently.
Who said consoles are maxed out? You said that? Okay, just give Epic Games and People Can Fly a few more months and watch their respective games blow that notion out of the water. Because according to People Can Fly founder Adrian Chmielarz, Gears of War 3 and Bulletstorm will be “proof” that there’s yet juice in the PS3 and Xbox 360 to be squeezed out.
