Bulletstorm was at the Tokyo Game Show this past September turning all kinds of Japanese heads its way. The game’s a first person shooter developed by People Can Fly with much guidance from Epic Games. But why bring a shooter to Japan when it’s a known fact that said genre isn’t popular with gamers in the east? It’s because, according to Bulletstorm executive producer Mark Morris, there’s this “over-the-topness” in the game that’s much like many Japanese titles.
For him, Bulletstorm will “do well in Japan”.

We kid you not by predicting Bulletstorm might steal the show next year and win more hearts and wallets than many expect. It’s like nothing out there, which, by the way, is a breath of fresh air.
EA’s gone on and released the box art for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game. Can you withstand a boot in the face? Good, hit the link.

Who said consoles are maxed out? You said that? Okay, just give Epic Games and People Can Fly a few more months and watch their respective games blow that notion out of the water. Because according to People Can Fly founder Adrian Chmielarz, Gears of War 3 and Bulletstorm will be “proof” that there’s yet juice in the PS3 and Xbox 360 to be squeezed out.

Not many new IPs come out and shine the first time around. First, most gamers wouldn’t have heard of it, and even if they did, some rather stay in their comfort zone: “I’ll play what I know,” they say.
That’s why it’s rare developers create new IPs, because they know how expensive it is to first, spend millions to develop the game, then spend even more to get the word out, and finally wait with fingers crossed to see if it’s well received.

Bulletstorm is coming to Cologne next week and with it, a “Bulletstorm size” announcement.

February 22nd, 2011, is when Bulletstorm will be available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and PC. It’s not your generic shooter, apparently. In fact, the game sets out to bring back the fun in shooters. You know, because title like CoD, Battlefield, Medal of Honor, Killzone and the others are just too serious.

At EA’s presser, Cliff Bleszinski announced the release date for People Can Fly upcoming shooter, Bulletstorm.
Game Designer Cliff Bleszinski confirmed in GTTV that there will be some sort of online component in the upcoming Bulletstorm. Cliffy couldn’t exactly confirm what it’s going to be but assures gamers that single player campaign won’t be the only aspect of the game. This news will probably add more sales from those gamers who demand more replay ability before dropping the cash.

Bulletstorm is a game being developed by People Can Fly with heavy influence coming from Epic Games. From what we’ve seen thus far, the new IP looks promising.
A first person shooter which gives you the liberty to take down your enemies in all sorts of ways, moving away from what other FPS titles offer, while creating a unique and new experience. The game evolved from being a third person shooter to what it is now because the guys at Epic thought it’d just be “[Gears of War] in space.
