What a momentous week it was! Gamescom only recently came to a close and already next year’s event is dated for August 17th through August 21st, 2011. This year’s show was great, though.
But who won? To me, it was Sony, hands down. Microsoft’s presser was poor.
This weekend, I’ll be playing LittleBigPlanet all over again with my wife; the woman just loves that game! At least it preps me for the sequel which is obviously a must buy. She’ll divorce me if I don’t!
On Saturday morning, I’ll be attending a seminar, the topic being: How to keep the family together. Should really be something. And later, I’ll definitely be trying my hands, yet again, at Resistance: Fall of Man. I’m even thinking about doing a retro review of the game but I haven’t made up my mind as of yet.
What about you? Who do you think won Gamescom, and what was the biggest reveal? For me, that Mass Effect 2 announcement killed even the Resistance 3 unveiling.

Yeah, Sony won! No question about that. Mass Effect 2 PS3 was huge, Resistance 3 was huge, GT5 was Huge (best of show), etc etc.
As for this weekend, I have some Matlab GUI code to finish up for a course I’m taking at WSU.
Gaming wise there are some demos I
downloaded that I need to play and I might get a PSN title (still debating).
What PSN title are you thinking of? Are you into RPGs? How about Final Fantasy 7 or even 8? And you’re taking a GUI course at WSU, that’s awesome. What field are you looking to go into?
I’m a Mechanical Engineering major at WSU: graduate this November The GUI is just a project for one of my classes. The quarter ended yesterday for most people but this course is done whenever I complete the aforementioned project (it’s like independent study-I check in with the prof and show
progress, etc.).
As for that PSN game…..don’t really like RPGs …maybe I’ll get Joe Danger. I have the demo downloaded but haven’t tried it out yet. It all depends on whether I like it though.

I wish I was graduating in November. I still have 3 more semesters before I am done.
I am excited about the new Ratchet and Clank game. I love the Ratchet universe and the fact it is co-op is really amazing. I just don’t understand why Dr. Nefairous is working with the good guys.

I am also getting my Masters after I graduate. So, I will be heading right back to school, but it will be work it in the end.

I am an English major and I rarely make typos on papers, but when I write comments on things I will make typos galore.

Has anyone played Mass Effect 2 on xbox? I played the first, but not the second game. Is it as amazing as everyone says?

RPGs aren’t really my thing but when you put it like that, backed up by all the other critical acclaim, I think I’ll have to give it a go when it comes to PS3 in January.

Yeah, it is Ninja Gaiden. Also, do you like 3rd person shooters, if so it is a good game to play. I only played the first one, and I am not a big RPG person, but i loved it.

I am absolutely in love with Uncharted 2. lol. I have put 5 days worth of playtime in the multiplayer and I still play it every night.

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune wasn’t too bad either. In fact, I think I’ll be giving the game another run. Uncharted 2, though, best game yet. Imagine what Uncharted 3 will be like.
Just thinking about it gets me excited.
MAG’s good. Online only, though. They should have had a single player campaign but I guess that’s where SOCOM 4 comes in?
But MAG’s a really good game. Just doesn’t get the recognition it deserves.

Yeah Ucharted 2 is…….enchanting. That game is amazing in so many ways. As for MAG, I tried the initial Beta but never really got the game. Cool idea though. I just never got into like that.

im selling my 360 tomorrow, im just sick of seeing it sitting there gathering dust and burning a hole in my wallet!
might as well get rid of it and put the credit towards some games.
Man 2011 is not looking so good for the 360. I mean Sony announced so many exclusives and they’re gonna reveal a couple more at TGS.

on a side note i started making my game today, im going for a top down platformer kinda like bionic commando rearmed.
hopefully ill have it done by next weekend, my teacher said he will give me extra credit if i get it completed.
its actually allot harder than i was expecting, not even half a level completed and ive got so many errors to fix!

amazes me even more how insomniac do what they do in the matter of a year or so!

I agree about the 360, I am only keeping it to play Gears of War 3. I have a true obsession with a series. Good luck on your game, I love top down platformers. Platformers and third person action adventure games are my favorite.
