SOCOM 4 Reviews Go Live – It’s Looking Like A Fail

by Ernice Gilbert on April 12th, 2011, under Hot, News, PS3, Sony

SOCOM 4 will release in the U.S. on April 19th, and reviews for the game have started showing up on gaming’s web. Does it standout, or is the Zipper TPS a mediocre game at best?

According to most of the reviews coming in, bar a few positive ones, SOCOM 4 is not what you’re looking for.

Said Eurogamer: “On the plus side, the visuals are reasonably impressive: the foliage is redolent of Far Cry 2, and film buffs will recognise the Kubrickian lighting in the missions set in the so-called ‘magic hour’ before dusk. The animations are decent, the scenery is pleasant, and there’s a mildly bombastic score from the Skywalker Symphony Orchestra.

Special Forces is not without its moments of drama and excitement, but ultimately there is an overriding sense that you are simply going through the motions – Move or no Move.”
