Valve has officially announced the first batch of Portal 2 DLC that should hit all platforms the same time in summer, and lots of content will come ready with it.

It’s been revealed that Portal 2 Xbox 360 has been dominating the game’s sales, leading the way with a respectable 54% while PS3 lags behind, accounting for only 35% in the UK.
Obviously, the advantage goes to 360 because of the PSN outage that’s kept a generation of gamers who’ve become used to playing multiplayer, offline for the better part of a week. That being said, with the Xbox 360 install base in the UK being bigger than the PS3′s, I’d still expect more units to be moved on Microsoft’s console.

It was expected, wasn’t it? Portal 2′s out, and no longer would Zumba Fitness rule the UK game sales charts. The exact thing has happened, as Valve’s puzzle shooter shoots to number one.

Tomorrow’s a momentous one for the industry, as four major titles will release, and there’s something for every system.
The full thing’s below the break.

If there were ever big news breaking today, it’d be the announcement that the PS3 and PC versions of Portal 2 are going to be intrinsic, meaning the game will provide cross-platform matchmaking, gameplay, friends, chat, and achievements. Now that’s big news.
Valve’s released a new trailer for its upcoming puzzle shooter game dubbed Portal 2, and while watching, you’ll realize that there’s not a single human being in there. Why, is the question? It’s because we humans cannot be trusted.
Of all the things that could happen, Valve boss Gabe Newell coming on Sony’s E3 2010 stage and announcing Portal 2 for PS3 wasn’t one I had in mind. So now that talk of the PS3 version being superior on consoles has surfaced, I’m even more baffled. But it is, according to Valve programmer Jeep Barnett, hailing Steamworks functionality “a win for Sony and a win for Valve”, and adding Xbox 360 integration would have been “awesome”.
