by Ernice Gilbert on June 3rd, 2011, under E3, E3 2011, EA, FPS, Hot, News, Shooter

Battlefield 3 won’t be a multiplayer-only affair, the game’s campaign mode’s looking rather good, albeit visually. But DICE’s bona fide franchise was built for multiplayer, and come E3, we’ll get to see much more.

Video Thirst: New RAGE Gameplay Trailer Takes Us To The Slums

by Ernice Gilbert on June 3rd, 2011, under Bethesda, FPS, Hot, News, PC, PS3, Shooter, Xbox 360

id Software’s RAGE has turned into one of the most anticipated games this year, and I’m not surprised. The developer invented the first person shooter genre, and with titles like DOOM under its belt, I held no doubt this latest offering would fail. But RAGE has beaten my expectations by miles, to be honest, and the gameplay trailer below the break only works to solidify my stance.

DICE Gives Reasons Why There’s A Lower Player Count On Console Version Of Battlefield 3

by Ernice Gilbert on April 11th, 2011, under EA, Hot, News, PC, PS3, PSN, Shooter, Xbox 360, Xbox Live

Gamers have been somewhat concerned about the player count discrepancy between the console versions of Battlefield 3 and that of the PC. According to developer DICE, the PC will see up to 64 players battlefield-it out in the game’s multiplayer on the aforementioned platform, however consoles will only see 24-players go head-to-head.

There’s a reason for that, for sure, and DICE opted to explain it.

by Ernice Gilbert on April 7th, 2011, under Activision, EA, Hot, News, PC, PS3, Shooter, Xbox 360

Clash Of The Titans? No. Too small – step aside. Clash of the gaming gods? Yes indeed. Activison’s Call of Duty is the number one game in the industry at the moment, but EA’s coming hard at it with DICE’s Battlefield 3. In fact, the war is so big that over $200 million dollars will be spent advertising those two titles alone.

It’s on.

Crysis 2 Maintains Top Spot In UK, Motorstorm Apocalypse Struggles

by Ernice Gilbert on April 4th, 2011, under EA, Hot, News, PC, PS3, Shooter, Xbox 360

Crysis 2 held its number one position on the UK charts last week, denying Shift 2: Unleashed the position. It’s also a shame that Motorstorm Apocalypse didn’t even make it in the top ten, something we’re sure was caused by the delay confusion because of the Japan earthquake crisis.

Besides that, Homefront is in fifth, a strong hold for a game that scored extremely poor, and neither Killzone 3 nor Bullestorm managed to steal a spot in the top ten.

The full quencher’s below the break.
