This is what happens when a game is hyped to the heavens: disappointment. Apparently lots and lots of Battlefield 3 beta testers are talking about their experience with the game as massively lackluster in that there’s no wow factor in its multiplayer. I myself have played the beta for a good bit, and to be brutally honest with you, gamesthirst, I’m not impressed.
Not one bit.
The Uncharted 3 beta is a success. No doubt. The taster’s seen over a million people jump online to try out the multiplayer the first day it went live, and since then it’s been growing. Naughty Dog’s added a new map for the beta’s final week, and although fans have been impressed with the amount of features available, Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells said what we see in the beta is just “the tip of the iceberg”.
Tomorrow will see the mulitplayer beta of one of this year’s most anticipated game go live. Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception will begin testing MP tomorrow, and Naughty Dog’s so pumped they’ve sent live five trailers.

GDC is hopping with action as we speak, and Insomniac Games are using the moment to unveil an exciting portion of Resistance 3, the game’s multiplayer.
Didn’t I mention to you in another thread that EA and Sony had a great relationship, and with that being the case, EA told Crytek hold off on PS3 footage of Crysis 2, and don’t announce the multiplayer beta until Killzone 3 went on sale? Man I told you that’s what happened.
It’s the only real explanation as to why is Crytek only now showing off PS3 footage of the game, and even teasing a multiplayer beta.

Need I say more? Sony’s offering everyone a chance to win a limited Helghast Edition of Killzone 3 just for playing in the game’s upcoming beta that’s now live on the EU PS Store, and coming to the U.S. tonight. They’ll be giving away 60 copies of the game.

EA’s confirmed that come January 25th, it’ll release an exclusive Crysis 2 multiplayer demo for the Xbox 360, for Gold members on Xbox Live.
