Like I was explaining in another thread, although PS3 owners haven’t seen a demo for Crysis 2 yet, I think it’ll happen after the Killzone 3 craze dies down. Again, EA and Sony have a great relationship, so I’m sure there might have been conversations behind the scenes, with Sony asking EA to give Killzone 3 a break, let it ride the train all the way to the bank. Give about two weeks of market space, and then, drop the bomb that’s Crysis 2 on PSN for users to enjoy.
Now, Crysis 2 producer Nathan Camarillo has hinted that a demo might be on its way, saying that it’s “still possible” PS3 owners get to try it out before launch.
“We want as many people to play Crysis 2 as possible,” Camarillo told PSU. “I can’t say anything too specific … we haven’t announced [the demo] yet.”
On DLC, Camarillo basically confirmed that Crytek was already working on map pack offerings. He said:
“You can imagine we will [support Crysis 2 with downloadable content].
It’s a big game and there’s a lot of fun to be had, so you can imagine we’re doing some [DLC], but I can’t say specifically what it is yet.”
He added: “People can try to find them [disparities], but they won’t find anything. hey both run great, they both play great whether you’re playing single-player or multiplayer — they’re identical offerings. The quality is outstanding on both of them; there’s really no difference.”
Crysis 2 comes out on March 25th for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
