Video Thirst: Crysis 2 Multiplayer Beta Coming Exclusively To Xbox 360 January 25th, New Trailer Inside

by Ernice Gilbert on January 21st, 2011, under Crytek, EA, News, Unbelievable

EA’s confirmed that come January 25th, it’ll release an exclusive Crysis 2 multiplayer demo for the Xbox 360, for Gold members on Xbox Live.

The MP demo will feature “Skyline” map, and two game modes: “Team Instant Action” and “Crash Site.”

Like Team Deathmatch, Team Instant Action pits two teams against each other as they kill as many opponents as possible to earn higher ranks. In Crash Site, however, players will battle for control of alien drop pods, earning points by guarding their pods and keeping enemies at bay.

Video Thirst: Looking Good

I must say it’s looking good. We’re not sure how good the game will turn out just yet, but I’ll be honest, that trailer you’re about to witness is at least good.

Quench it:

Crysis 2 will release with six gameplay modes and 12 maps set across familiar locations in New York City. Throughout the campaign, players can earn up to 50 multiplayer ranks and a variety of different upgrades to their weapons and their Nanosuit.

Similar in style to the Call of Duty MP setup.

It comes out on March 22nd, in the U.S., and on the 25th of the same month in Europe for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Yeah, apparently they’re favoring the Xbox 360 more with this one, EA and Crytek are. But whatever, that trailer wins. And Crytek did say the PS3 version was built from scratch, so was the PC and I think Xbox 360….. We’ll see.

just seems a little suspicious not even 2 months from release and we have seen nothing but 360 footage!
if the ps3 and PC versions are just as good, why not show them off?
nice to see how crytek treat their fans though, thank you PC gamers for supporting us the last few years, thank you for buying crysis, thank you for buying warhead, now sod off!
brilliant way to treat your fans!

Yeah, it’s ridiculous man. I know. I think it’s because Killzone 3 is releasing, and Sony’s obviously more focused on that than any other shooter.. …. Therefore for EA and Crytek have to find new partners in, way of it, Microsoft.
