Thief 4 Development Switched To PS4 And Xbox 720, Releasing Next Year

As if we needed any more information on the impending releases of next generation consoles in 2013, OXM (via CVG) is rumoring that development for Thief 4 has been shifted to PS4 and Xbox 720, and will release next year on the aforementioned consoles.

The game is being made by Eidos Montreal, a studio with four teams working on various projects: one for Deus Ex, one for Thief, a playtest team and a quality assurance team.

Thief 4 was actually announced in 2009, however since its reveal, the game’s website has been inactive, redirecting fans to a forum “for discussion”.

At this point, it makes no sense for Sony and Microsoft to try and hide the truth: PS4 and Xbox 720 will launch next year. The real question is, are you ready?
