Microsoft Responds To Leaked Xbox 720 Documents

The Next Xbox

Last week purported leaked Microsoft documents showing plans for Xbox 720 made the rounds on the internet, with some sites, including us, running the story while others claim it to be fake. Today, Microsof responded to the rumor.

In its response, the firm neither confirmed nor denied the documents, leading us to believe that their might have been some legitimacy to them.

“We understand there is great interest and anticipation for what comes next for Xbox and we are lucky to have customers who are so passionate about the platform,” Microsoft told Eurogamer.

“Today, there has never been a better time to own an Xbox 360 console. We have found new ways to extend the console lifecycle by introducing controller-free experiences with Kinect and we’ve re-invented the console with a new dashboard and new entertainment content partnerships.

We are continually thinking about the future of the platform and when we have something to share, we will.”

i REALLY hope there not accurate because its no where near powerful enough for a next gen system!
but sadly its looking like they were………..
maybe, just maybe those early PS4 documents were not pie in the sky stuff either!

I agree with you Nick. Looks like they are dumping more money into the VR glasses and content partners than the hardware. But we shall see if it comes to pass…..
