Crytek’s Looking Into A New TimeSplitters
New IPs are great, but it’s beautiful when a developer can take an old and ailing franchise and revive it with an award-winning reboot like Mercury Steam did with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Well, not exactly, but you get the picture.

Clash Of The Titans: Kotick Slams EA, EA Fires Back: “His Company Is Based On Three Game Franchises”
“One is a fantastic persistent world he had nothing to do with; one is in steep decline; and the third is in the process of being destroyed by Kotick’s own hubris,” said EA corporate communications VP Jeff Brown in a statement. That’s after Bobby Kotick, Activision CEO said EA had “lost its way” and that “if you have no other option, you might consider them.”

The Xbox 360 launched a full year ahead of the PlayStation 3, and because of that, Microsoft’s next generation console has enjoyed a decent lead over Sony’s. Especially in the early years of this seventh generation of gaming, when the Xbox 360′s lead was even larger. We learned that in was in 2008 Insomniac Games made its decision to go multiplatform, a year when the Xbox 360 was in its prime and the PS3 was just starting to show promise.
But now, things have changed. Sony’s PS3 is steadily growing while the Xbox 360, according to many analysts, will stall if Microsoft doesn’t act fast and aggressively.

Sony has announced that it’ll surely make its presence be felt at the mega games event taking place in Cologne Germany, from August 18th through the 22nd this year.

Sega Will Soon Announce 2 “Major” Hardcore Games
So you thought Sega’s been on a downward spiral ever since Alpha Protocol flopped, and the games prior, (save Bayonetta) haven’t performed less than expected? Sega’s paying you no mind. In fact, coming soon will be two big game announcements targeting the hardcore crowd.
At least that’s what the publisher told CVG.

Microsoft is one of the richest companies in the world and it’s extremely difficult to match the giant in the money department. Only a few companies can, Sony however is not one of them and according to SCEA boss, Rob Dyer, they’re not even trying to.
For EA, Bungie’s Just Engaged, Not Married
Wasn’t it Beyonce’ who sang “if you like it you should put a ring on it”? Indeed, true words coming the the songstress. If you’re in love with somebody, and it seems like you can spend the rest of your life with them, you should get married. Simple.
But EA’s been looking hard at all ten of Bungie’s fingers and has yet to see a ring on it. For them, the relationship between said studio and Activision is only an engagement.
