Microsoft Will Always Win When It Comes To Money Says Sony

by Ernice Gilbert on May 25th, 2010, under Microsoft, News, Sony

Microsoft is one of the richest companies in the world and it’s extremely difficult to match the giant in the money department. Only a few companies can, Sony however is not one of them and according to SCEA boss, Rob Dyer, they’re not even trying to.

Speaking in an interview with Gamasutra (via MCV) on the drastic change of the company’s attitude towards third party publishers, Dyer said:

“It’s not about just taking share away from Microsoft.” “It’s about expanding the pie. It’s about giving people a reason to want to buy this game.”

“I’m not going to sit here and try and figure out who’s got the bigger you-know-what between me and Seattle. They’re going to win when it comes to money anyway, anytime, all day, all night. It doesn’t matter. Let’s figure out how to make the industry bigger. Let’s grow this thing.”
