The numbers can sometimes get confusing, but the mere fact Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception has shipped 3.8 million units is something worth celebrating.
The number was earlier thought to be sold units, but Sony’s confirmed to Gamasutra that UC3 shipped 3.8 million copies in one week. And rightfully so, I might add, as it’s one of PS3′s biggest exclusives, and the most critically acclaimed.
“Uncharted 3 is a blockbuster and these incredible sales figures reflect that,” said Nick Caplin, head of communications at SCEE.
“Consumers are clearly as eager to play the game as critics were to heap praise upon it, and the team at Naughty Dog deserve this fantastic reception at retail.”
Sony also noted that UC3 is set to become the bestselling title of the franchise.

Considering that its a PS3 exclusive and how close in proximity to MW3 it was released, I am surprised it sold that many week 1. But it is a beast of a game and a monster of a franchise. Naughty Dog deserves to shine because UC3 is da ish!!!!!
