The brand new facility, based in Kyoto, will open on February 16th, 2013.
Nintendo’s console and handheld division will soon be housed in the company’s new Kyoto facility, it has been made known by the company to Games Industry International.
The ¥30 billion ($340m apprx) offices will bring together the two business arms on February 16th, in an effort to forge closing working relationships with all its divisions, sharing technological research with greater efficiency.
Nintendo’s development staff are currently split between the Kyoto Research Center R&D facility in the Higashiyama Ward, and the main office in the Minami Ward.
