Wii U Launching In U.S. Before Black Friday, No Europe Release Date Yet

Nintendo’s timed Wii U to be launched in the U.S. during the nation’s most hustled period, Black Friday, in an attempt to sell as many units as possible during the frenzied season. The console’s launch in Europe, however, remains unconfirmed.

That’s according to GoNintendo, citing a GameStop employee familiar with Nintendo’s plans. This means Wii U will launch in America between November 19th – 23rd. GoNintendo’s source also mentioned that Wii U preorders will open up next week.

Nintendo hasn’t given any official release date, though, only consistently saying the console will release for the holidays.

as long as its out worldwide for chrissy the release date does not really matter.
developers and consumers alike should be FAR more concerned about the price of the system, its features, and its lineup of games both third and first party!
