Twitter user and Kotaku columnist “superannuation” has said some things about the newly-released Call Of Duty Black Ops Declassified for the PS Vita.
He said:
If my math is correct, CoD Vita had like a four-five month development cycle.
They didn’t really start development until around when Resistance shipped and wrapped up early last month. So May to October.
These posts probably justify why the game got such bad reviews on Metacritic. Although the game was reveled at E3 and was said to be a portable experience of the Call Of Duty franchise by Jack Tretton, many reviewers are smashing on that quote. In a day and age where most games score between 7-10, Black Ops Declassified has failed that standard exponentially according to many reviewers.
If this is indeed true, then Sony and Activision pretty much knew that the game was not going to be good at all. Also, the mere fact that Activision didn’t even give reviewers a copy of the game before release, is a testimony to its rubbish standard.
Although all these reviews are bad, many people from Reddit and many user Metacritic reviews say that the game is a great addition to your PS Vita collection, but it is not the best-of-the-best PS Vita game.
What do you guys think? Did any of you buy Declassified? If no, will you buy it? If you think the game is bad, who do you blame for all this, Nihilistic for the bad quality or Activision for the short development time? Is it Activision’s fault for lending the Call of Duty name or is it Nihilistic for not caring?
I think that the game should have gotten a higher score than Resistance Burning Skies on Metacritic for having a more deep Multiplayer and the addition of a new mode, Hostiles. Single Player does not par with Resistance’s of course.

we can tell this game was a rushed piece of spoiled fudge
just one of the many many reasons why the vita is dead in the water!
sorry $ony, but your going to have to pull off 100000 miracles to bring this one back!
@nick: Although this game has been really bad, many people actually like the MP and have been playing it profusely. If you don’t like it you can get other great games! Like AC3 Liberation and Need For Speed Most Wanted. Or wait for Killzone Mercenary!
thats exactly the problem though, ACL is not a great game, ok but nothing special.
i hate most wanted its so boring!
mercenaries looks interesting, but thats exactly the problem.
by the time that releases it will probably be june, if not later!
by then the vita will be out for over a year, and it will have 2 must have games for it.
thats pretty pathetic!
hell, even the ps3 was better than that!
I’m sorry but I think Need For Speed Most Wanted and Liberation are both great games for a HANDHELD. These games can compare to console counter-parts. Just think of it, AC1 for the console was just like AC3 Liberation. Just wait a few years and the Vita will have same quality games. And you think NFS: MW is boring? I think it’s the Vita game of the year.
I’m not ready to write my Vita off. AC Liberation is serious stuff! I’m really enjoying it, and I’m excited for the slate of games announced so far for 2013. I firmly believe that the Vita will find its voice soon enough. Until then, I will enjoy what I have and hope to all that is righteous in this world that Sony will keep *n*stigate games away!!!
@benzo: It wasn’t nstigates fault! It was Activison’s! They gave them so little time to make the game!
You have a point Grim…if its ok to still call you that. Activision did give them little to work with. But in a 100% panty waste way, Activision distanced itself from Declassified…so either way, BOTH companies owe Vita owners an apology.
