Nintendo Japan has placed all speculation to rest by announcing the release date of Wii U in Japan at its Nintendo Direct event (video inside), giving the system a December 8th release in the orient along with price and bundles. Full details can be found below the break.
Video Thirst: Nintendo Direct With Wii U Release Date And More
Wii U comes ready with a number of bundles: a Basic and Premium set. Basic has a white console and Game Pad, along with 8 GB harddrive. The black Premium set comes with a 32 GB hard drive, stands and docks, and Nintendo Network Premium.
Nintendo Network Premium offers 10% off software purchases and rewards players with points for buying games. The bundled subscription continues through December 2014.
The Premium bundle will cost ¥31,500 – about $405/£251/€313. The basic set will cost ¥26,250 – $337/£209/€261. Both bundles include an HDMI adapter and basic AC adapter.
