Remember the fan uproar when it was announced Mass Effect 3 would see day one downloadable content? Yeah, that didn’t go down too well with fans, and a rage-storm erupted all over gaming’s web that’s yet to be quenched. EA’s now responded.
Said EA:
“From Ashes is a 600 MB+ download with all new content, including the mission on Eden Prime, new dialogue options and conversations with Javik, new cinematics, the Prothean weapon, and new appearances for all squad members. All of the above content was completed while the main game was in certification and are not available on the disc.
As stated previously, in order to seamlessly integrate Javik into the core campaign, certain framework elements and character models needed to be put on disc. We did something similar with Zaeed and Kasumi in Mass Effect 2.”
Will EA’s response settle the score with gamers? As always, its’ a wait and see session. Eyes and ears are attentive.

ah the old we had to put the DLC on the disk to ensure “smoothness” excuse.
hasent crapcom milked that to death yet!?
i have no problem with day one DLC especially that most games are finished months in advance to release so its just unreasonable to ask the developers to sit on their thumbs till release to start working on DLC.
BUT when that content is on the disk, and developers are just buffering files to make it look like a whole missions being downloaded, well thats a different story.
you would think after the shit storm this has caused in the past companies would just leave all of this content off the disk?
i dont care if it makes their life more difficult down the line, its the only way to make sure its actually DLC and not content cut from the game we paid a arm and a leg for!
id help allot if DLC was not so overpriced too.

i mean ME3 has how many missions?
so why am i paying 25 dollars for 1 add on mission, when i can pay 110 dollars and get 20 hours of content not including MP, and not including the side missions.
i REALLY gotta start importing games from the states!
its ridiculous, i can get 3 games off ebay for the same price it would cost me to get one of those games here!
i imported twisted metal, syndicate and the J&D collection for 120 bucks!
AND that included priority 3 day shipping, EB normally charges you $20 just for regular let alone express!
