SimCity Is Real, Reveal Trailer Inside – The Full Quencher

It’s been rumored for a long time, and finally at EA’s Gamechangers event yesterday, Maxis announced a new, unnumbered SimCity. Reveal trailer and details are below.

“The rumours are true; Sim City is back,” Maxis senior vice president Lucy Bradshaw said at the event. “We’re taking Sim City back to Maxis, and we’re bringing it to you on the PC in 2013.”

As a new website went live for the game, Origin began accepting preorders, however a console version wasn’t mentioned.

“We’re not trying to make the most complex SimCity. Our goal is to make the most playful SimCity yet,” Bradshaw said. “As such, information regarding the city will not be buried in menus, but visible direcftly in the game’s graphics.”

SimCity will have “tactility”, roads that are “carved” into landscapes, and when buildings are plunked down, clouds of dust follow. For Maxis, building a city in the game should be a “fun” experience.

We’ll keep you up to date as more information becomes available.

They’ve killed everything, Ghost! Everything! Instead of bringing a bona fide Onimusha, they kill the franchise with this crap?!?!?! Oh boy….really pissed about this rubbish.

being that crapcom was once my favorite company since i was a kid, i can truly say i have lost all faith in this company.

Same here man. Their moves lately have been completely out of touch with their fans. I’m totally baffled at what the firm’s become. It’s all about milking Street Fighter these days. Either that or killing a IP…. crazy.
