GT5 Update Version 1.06 Is Live, Massive
Gran Turismo 5 has received one of the most massive updates to ever hit a racing simulator, adding, amongst tons of other things, remote racing. Indeed, now you can start a B-Spec race via the internet and watch how your PS3-controlled drivers are doing remotely. If that ain’t awesome, The Rock can home. It was promised, and Polyphony Digital delivered.

Update Coming To GT5, Might Bring Back Performance Points
In all honesty, Gran Turismo 5 is one of the most content-filled games to hit any console, and yet Polyphony Digital’s releasing more as time goes by. What’s the latest? A tweet from the boss himself, Kazunori Yamauchi, hints at an update that will revive the Performance Points system first helmed in Prologue.

That takes the tally to over 6 million units sold worldwide.

Gran Turismo 5 Holds The Top Spot On The PS3 Chart
Yes indeed, the best racing simulator to release this gen’s also the best selling game of all time on the PS3. Imagine that. And in the UK, the game’s holding strong the number spot, beating out big titles like EA’s Need for Speed, Treyarch’s Black Ops, and even EA’s Fifa 11.

Gran Turismo 5′s not only hitting western countries by storm, the real racing simulator’s also got Japanese gamers going mental. So much so that in six days, over 430,000 units were sold, and with that, helping PS3 take the number two spot in Japan’s latest hardware sales result, with PSP grabbing the number one seat.
