According to Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg, 1.26 million Xbox 360s were sold during the month of November, 2012, almost double the amount of any of its competitors.
This suggest that PS3 sold about 630,000 units in November, however Sony hasn’t released its internal numbers. Meanwhile Nintendo shifted 1.75 million hardware units: 420,000 Wiis, 425,000 Wii Us, 540,000 Nintendo 3DSs and 370,000 Nintendo DSs.
Wii U’s November total come in just 50,000 units short of the figure achieved by the Wii back when it was launched.
Elsewhere, Gamasutra reports that Black Ops 2 sold 7.4 million copies as it claimed the top spot, representing 4.5 million on and 2.9 million on PS3. Unit sales of earlier games in the franchise were 8.8 million Modern Warfare 3, 8 million Black Ops, and 6.1 million Modern Warfare 2, but that’s because they had one extra week to rack up sales.
