Weekend Quencher 11/03/12 – AC3, Halo 4, NFS: Most Wanted, Edition

halonnew

We have no clue why publishers do this but once late October hits, triple A games come out in succession week after week. This Week we had Assassin’s Creed 3 and Need For Speed: Most Wanted, and come Tuesday we’ll have Halo 4. Gamers pockets are bleeding.

More pockets will bleed on November 13th, when the biggest piece of entertainment lands, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. But this week, we focus our attention of the game’s already here, or are incoming.

Good thing is, they all received great scores, so doesn’t matter your choice, chances are you’ll be having a great time playing games for the rest of the year.

So, what are you playing?

This weekend I’ll be doing some painting at home, giving the inside a fresh coat of paint, and later I’ll take my SUV to the shop. Brakes are gone.

What are you guys up to this weekend? Share it! Have a blessed one!

Koolio, sounds like your weekend is gonna be pretty chill. What I’m playing? nothing right now till halo 4 gets here, I’ll be taking my fiancee to some art fair, then off to the movies today. Later tonight thinking about going sliding on some huge hills and then have a bonfire and have some drinks with the fam.

As usual, nothing much to do here in Saudi Arabia, too hot to do anything and I’m just waiting for Black Ops 2. ;) I’m mostly studying and I feel a bit alone since nobody invites me to parties. Well derp, life is life.

Yeah. Haha. He says there’s nothing to do, I beg to differ. I could see it now: Dry, hot Saudi Arabia afternoon, head all tied up with holy cloth, two gallons of water and my camel to boot. All I see is desert and that’s just fine. Now, all I need is a female riding next to me (my wife – I’ve always gotta insert this just in case she reads this post :D ) and I’m set!

Actually, I live in Jeddah ans it’s mostly city. I can’t go anywhere since my dad isn’t with me, so I really feel very alone.

  9. Baran Altuncu November 3, 2012 at 4:04 pm -

I don’t have any games to play with, I don’t even have enough money to buy a game. Just waiting for BO2. :) Ughh this is depressing.

Even it would take months to ship here, I’m starting to lose my mind.

  11. Ernice Gilbert November 3, 2012 at 4:05 pm -

    Hey, don’t you have BF3?

  12. Baran Altuncu November 3, 2012 at 4:09 pm -

I can’t game on the TV, the TV is on the skitz. That’s why I haven’t signed in for about 2 days already. I was hoping to buy NFS: MW here on the PSN store, but it’s 50$!

  13. Baran Altuncu November 3, 2012 at 4:10 pm -

For the Vita, Vita version of NFS: MW.

BA or tgod can you use your pc screen?

  17. nick November 4, 2012 at 2:25 am -

really, really, REALLY trying to enjoy AC3 but i cant.
they have just simplified the game so goddamn much, almost everything that made the past games so addictive is gone!
absolutely HATE the automatic targeting too, past games you could lock onto targets yourself, or when your shooting you had to choose the target yourself but now the game does it itself and it ALWAYS chooses the wrong target!
for instance one of the assassination missions, i was in a tree right above my target but instead of targeting him the game kept targeting a guy right across the field.
common sense, WTF would i want to shoot a guy all the way across the field and alert everyone, especially when my target is right under me?
not to mention you cant lock onto targets in battle anymore, theres so few weapons to use, the buying armour and health packs is gone, WTF ubisoft why did you remove everything that made the series so awesome!?
its like they have given me a brand new ferrari, than let me enjoy it for a day, than the next day i come back to see all its interior and engine has been stripped!
    WTF!?
so, so, so goddam disappointed, i had such high hopes for this!
why does everything have to be simplified so bloody much to the point where a freaking 5 year old could master it!?
cant believe this, i was expecting to say this is by far hands down GOTY 2012, but only award this should be getting is disappointment of 2012!
god, even more disappointing than BF3 and ME3 put together, gee never thought id be saying that!
    sigh.

  18. Ghost250 November 4, 2012 at 3:18 am -

@nick Why is it every time you complain about something you make some type of car reference lol? While i agree that it was stupid to take out health packs and buying armor, just get to the dang point man. btw i don’t think any game can surpass the amount of disappointment than MoH warfighter or RE6.

the only “REAL MAJOR PROBLEM” i have with AC3 is the those stupid f***king full sync missions. they are so freaking ridiculous. ubisoft thinks it adds to the replay-ability but its more of a FREAKING ANNOYANCE than anything else. it got to the point that i literally wanted to smash my controller.

  19. nick November 4, 2012 at 10:02 am -

no way, MoH or RE6 we knew were going to suck.
AC3 was suppose to be the best game in the series by far, but if anything its the WORST in the series!
hell i enjoyed the original repetitive bench fest than this!
90% of AC3s missions are boring as hell, IE walk around finding info to escape prison, or hide and seek at the start of the game, or all the chases.
speaking of the chases, my god there INFURIATING!
i really wish they would patch the controls and make x to run but not climb, that way when your in the chases and going through tight corridors your not running up a wall instead of running past it.
failed so many missions because of that!
