When Insomniac Games unveiled Fuse two days ago, the developer could not release the trailer because of some legal issues. All that’s now been sorted. Quench it below.
On a personal note, I don’t like the trailer; but that’s just me.
Video Thirst: Formerly Overstrike, Now Fuse
Overstrike Trailer

Nope, just nope. Why change the game from overstike that looks like fun to this generic Fuse?
Also Ernice I PMed you.
Yeah, it looks rubbish to me. @Grim: Checking email now
didn’t like overstrike and i don’t like fuse. good for me though more money in my pocket.
definitely looks very different, dunno if thats a bad thing though.
overstrike looked a little too cartoony and silly, this has a much more grittier tone to it while keeping the visual flair and quirkiness insomniac is known for.
as long as this has the multitude of weird wacky weapons, and great sense of humor ill be happy.
Nah, dude. This looks tired. And like Ghost said in another thread, it definitely has Resistance influence.

I don’t know what EA told Insomniac, but this sure looks like fail already. I’m not interested. Not one bit.

Also, since they left Sony…..well…. you know…..
Maybe I’m angry that they left Sony and abandon the Resistance franchise or maybe Fuse looks like the doo doo….I’m looking toward the latter. Underwhelming trailer. And like EG said…Resistance comes to mind when looking at the trailer.
and thats a bad thing how?
i thought yous loved resistance!
you only get a resistance vibe because its very dark and gritty.
i dont mind it, it looks really cool!
the original overstrike trailer looked too cartoony.
And that’s why I liked it more than this one, Nick. We’re fed up with military shooters; co-op, sci-fi, strange weaponry, futuristic, anything. Resistance had a personal story to be told, and was such an interesting take on the World War. Overstrike was a cartoony, goofy, shooter that doesn’t take itself seriously. THAT was something different, in a genre where everything has been done before. I can’t think of many 4-way co-op shooters, with offline co-op, that offer goofy fun and Insomniac’s style. And I expected more from EA; they have their serious shooter franchises, why convert a funny one to another serious one?
and this will be the same, come on dude its insomniac this will still have the wacky quirky humor the developer is famous for!
your reading far too much into this.
just because this has a darker gritter feel to it does not mean its not going to contain the weapons and humor insomniac is famous for.
For me, there’s more than that. The visual style has become derivative; too much grey, something I can find in 9 out of 10 shooters out there. Everything in a game plays its role for me.
