Square-Enix has a release date set for Final Fantasy Versus 13, (we believe it’s E3 2013) however the publisher’s dealing with a delicate situation at the moment within the company and cannot talk about it just yet.
That’s according to the game’s director Testsuya Nomura, speaking in an episode of the latest Square Enix podcast dubbed Merchandise Radio, and as translated by Nova Crystallis.
Said Nomura:
It’s a delicate situation within the company.
The date for our next reveal is set and we are working toward preparing information for that.
What’s the delicate situation? We can’t put our finger on it, however the game’s rumored to be a PS4 exclusive and has been renamed Final Fantasy XV, with Sony itself aiding in development. Could Microsoft try to spoil the deal by throwing money all over Square-Enix? We don’t know, but come E3, everything will be told. At least that’s the hope.
