The question mark isn’t a typo. Yesterday while reading Benzo’s comment on Dishonored, expressing his disappointment with the game, adding that he might just trade it in, I thought I’d ask you the same question. Have you played Dishonored? If so, how has it been?

We should have our review up soon, so if you’re on the fence, stay there a bit longer.

I’ll be home for most of today, again working on Games Thirst business. That’s what I’m doing these days, as we are in the process of yet again making some awesome changes. Don’t expect them right away, but hold tight, good things are incoming! From site update to drink release. Yep, it’s still in the making!

Ive got work and some gaming to do! Gonna give Dishonored some time to see if it grows on me, and of course Borderlands 2. Also really getting into Fallout New Vegas. Bought the Ultimate Edition on 360 and it runs like a dream,unlike the nightmare that was the PS3 version…DAMN YOU BETHESDA!!

I hope my comment about Dishonored didnt come off as snarky or me being a hater. I just had certain expectations for the game due to the news I was reading about it and the videos of gameplay I have seen. I am all for supporting new IPs, but disappointment is bound to come. I was hoping to get more of a Deus Ex meet Bioshock feel, and its not happening for me. But I am very curious to read the review from GT.

the games no where near as good as reviews would lead you to believe, but hey thats been pretty much every game this gen so…….
its ok, no where near as good as i was expecting it to be.
the games a PAIN IN THE A$$ to play stealthfully!
you have barely any weapons to deal non lethal dammage you litterally have to just take everyone out with hand to hand combat if you want to be non lethal.
that means being 2mms away from 50 enemies, thus making it impossible to remain undetected.
not to mention there is no map so its really hard to tell where your enemies are around you, you really have to rely on dark vision which is far from perfect.
the level design is not as open as i hoped either.
some levels have multiple paths IE rooftops, sewers, lakes, and others dont others force you to go down a single linear alleyway and walk straight in front of your enemies.
the AI does not make it any easier either most of the time they hold there post and refuse to budge!
i HATE it when games do that!
AI should be reactive, they should wander around search the level, peek out a freaking window, not just stand in one freaking spot like a freaking statue!
and when you throw a bottle or hit a wall or something to draw there attention they automatically instantly know where you are even if your not where the noise was made.
that brings me on to another complaint, once the enemies figure out where you are its IMPOSSIBLE to loose them!
your found by the enemy so you run down the stairs, jump out a window into the lake, swim underwater to the other side of the island, jump out and boom there they are waiting for you.
WTF!?

i said for months before this was out im really worried because so many games promise this freedom, this play however you want to play.
i was worried because so many promise it but so few deliver on it.
sadly dishonoured is another one of the culprits.
it promises, but very rarely delivers.
im sad to say it because it has SOOOOOOOOOOOOo much potential, and i really expected more from the creators of the original bioshock!
but im afraid deus ex human revolution, let alone the aforementioned bioshock, were FAR better games!
if your to play this like every other mindless action game its SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun!
brilliant game!
but thats not the point of this game, the point is to let people play how they want to.
but it doesent, it gives you every tool in the world to go all balls out.
but if you want to play it stealthfuly it gives you a screwdriver and says away you go.
it makes it so easy to play all balls out, and so god dam frustrating, boring, and incompetent, to play stealthfuly!

depends on how you want to play it.
if you want to go in all balls out and blow everything to pieces its hella fun!
if you want to go in stealth and not kill a single soul, and want to do ghost playthroughs, than there are MANY games out there that do that FAR better!
