It’s an easy guess, but Gearbox’s president Randy Pitchford has hinted that his company got a “few things” going for PS4 and the next Xbox, telling Gamasutra that he’s “always excited” about forward movement, and that “more power is always better”.
Here’s the gist of it:
I’m always excited by movement forward. Some of that comes from iteration with our software, and some of it comes from iteration with hardware, and some of it comes from invention… each new step kind of gives us new tools and new capabilities that always makes the entertainment better, if we use it right.
More power is always better. There’s always things we can do that we cannot do today that we can do with more power. So, that’s always true.
Meanwhile, Gearbox’s latest effort, Borderlands 2 sees a release next month on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
People here are properly excited for it.

Borderlands 2 isn’t even out yet. Why are they talking about 3 already?
id rather see a new duke nukem game, or even brothers in arms furious four well before we see another borderlands game!
