1 Million In First Week: David Jaffe Anticipates God Of War III Sales Numbers

God of War III is now available and fans around the world are enjoying the title, slaying gods as we speak. It’s a great game according to review scores but some folks are more interested in how well the game does at retail, one of them being the it’s creator, David Jaffe.

“Can’t wait to see the God of War 3 sales figures for the week. Did they do a million in the first 7 days?? I Hope so! That would make it the biggest GOW launch week by a looooong shot!” Jaffe wrote on his blog.

He also spoke of the game’s FaceBook team and the excellent work they were doing to promote the it.

“Speaking of God Of War 3, been seeing some very cool Kratos/GOW 3 billboards all over Los Angeles via pictures posted by the team (Facebook). I think that is so damn cool!”

Of course he’s excited, the man created the game. Well soon enough we’ll know how well God of War III did in its first week on the market, I’m guessing they numbers will be awesome.

GOW 3 is truly EPIC on all levels it deserves bigger sells than mgs4.i really hope it does its so Amazing!!!

im a little disappointed in this.
the game starts off so fast and epic, than it really slows down from there.
in uncharted 2 it starts off the same way, but has heaps of parts to give the game a boost and keep the pace going.
your amazed than as soon as the amazement wears off and the pace slows down another part comes and boots it back to the top.
GOW has none of that, it gives you one adrenaline shot than thats it, no regular boost to keep the pace like uncharted 2.

not to mention the controls, ive lost count the amount of times ive hit the right analogue stick to evade a attack but kratos just stands their like a stunned mullet!

I wouldn’t doubt for a second that GOW3 sales are high. Game looks godly….. hahaha.
