Sony’s CES 2013 press conference is happening right now, where the company’s showing off the world’s first ever 4K TV, amongst other things. Check out the presser, it includes a lot of techy stuff, things that will affect the PlayStation brand, too. It’s below the break.

sony was really trying to push 4K. maybe seeing the PS4 having some sort of 4K inclusion may not be too far off. i mean there was alot of rumors about that.

i guess those rumors about it being called playstation omni was right. though ill be honest they should just call it PS4 everywhere else and in japan call it omni since the number 4 is like bad luck or something along those lines

LG even have announced a 4K laser projector suppose to deliver more accurate vibrant colors than OLED!

as ive always said $ony made their reputation because they innovated, they brought tomorrows technology today.
there stocks at a all time low, and have been BLEEDING money ever since the ps3 was announced, simply because that stopped!
they showed us that 11 inch OLED TV, first time anyone EVER showed one!
let alone released it to the market.
now though there doing everything everyone else is doing, and in some areas are quite behind.
i want the good old $ony back who was releasing tomorrows technology today, not today technology today.
as kaz kept saying 4K is not the futures technology, its todays.
so wheres tomorrows, that which $ony prided themselves on?
hell LG, panasonic, heaps of manufactures have demonstrated 8K TVs at previous CES events!
$ony is one of the only major TV manufactures still yet to demo it.
as i ive always said, they need to get with the times and start bringing back that sense of wonder and excitement people had with $ony products.
its funny even kaz said exactly that, and consumers got that wow factor because $ony were the only ones offering it.
when someone shows you something you have never seen, its wow.
when someone shows you something you have seen so many times before, its meh.
i dont think $ony understands and appreciates that!
