Spanish Police Arrest Key Anonymous Members, Jail Time Incoming

The National Police in Spain have arrested three key Anonymous members, and according to the Spanish Policia Nacional website, one of the members actually hosted a server out of her home which was used to wage DDoS attacks on businesses, websites, financial institutions and government agencies around the globe, and a website for the PlayStation Store.

Over the weekend, hacktivist group “Anonymous” staged sit-ins at Sony stores all around the world, and in preparation for the event, Sony tasked police with the job to guard its stores. However there wasn’t much work for the police, as virtually nobody showed up to the events, and the one guy who came actually ended up buying a Sony Bravia.

The scenario that’s been playing over the past few days ever since an online “hacktivist” group who’ve dubbed themselves “Anonymous” sent an open letter to Sony, is something taken straight from the movies. In the letter, the group told Sony it would soon start attacking its properties in protest of a lawsuit the firm has leveled against infamous iPhone Jailbreak doctor, George “Geohot” Hotz, for cracking the PS3 and releasing its root key online for the masses to view and do what they please with.

What started as a normal day at Sony headquarters have turned into an animal farm. Hacktivist group “Anonymous” declared war against the software giant for taking legal action against Geohot, the notorious iPhone jailbreaker who recently exposed the PS3′s root key online for the world to see.

Just as Sony’s reporting sporadic outages of PSN throughout the day, and many of its websites going down because of attacks that hacktivist group anonymous has taken responsibility for, a new video released by the same group warning Sony of more attacks. Attacks that won’t stop until they’re “satisfied” of the outcome.
