Sony Gives Another Update On PSN Service Outages, “Working On Finding Solutions”

by Ernice Gilbert on April 4th, 2011, under Hot, News, Sony

What started as a normal day at Sony headquarters have turned into an animal farm. Hacktivist group “Anonymous” declared war against the software giant for taking legal action against Geohot, the notorious iPhone jailbreaker who recently exposed the PS3′s root key online for the world to see.

Part of the message reads:

“Congratulations, Sony. You now have now received the undivided attention of Anonymous. Your recent legal action against our follow hackers, Geohot and Graf_Chokolo, has not only alarmed us, it has been deemed wholly unforgivable.”

Following the message from the hackers, some of the firm’s sites started experiencing problems, forcing Sony tweet about sporadic outages hitting its websites and the PlayStation Store. Now, with attacks ongoing, the firm has issued yet another statement:

“We’re aware that some of you have been experiencing intermittent service on PSN today. We’re working on finding a solution, and will report back here as soon as it’s resolved,” said Sony over at the US PS Blog. “Thank you for your patience.”

I haven’t experienced any outages thus far, and I hope I don’t have to. But if it’s to fix PSN then I’m good with that.

What about you guys, any PSN outages on your end?

this is getting out of hand with the new threats against people. it is one thing to tarnish a companies name, but to tarnish a persons name and family, you have gone way to far. Also, they have put the judge on the hit list, and that will bring in the FBI, since this a federal case. They are immature and need to grow up. They say they are standing up for the little guy and fighting against the man, but they are only hurting the little guy, who is getting what they want from the man. lol. They are now fully performing illegal deeds by going after people and their personal information. It has gone to far and I hope they get caught.
