by Ernice Gilbert on June 2nd, 2011, under Hot, News, PS3, PSN, PSP, Sony

You’ve been waiting patiently like a young stud waiting to marry a virgin; like a lion patiently noting all its prey’s paths. Like a tree who hasn’t seen rain for a while – and now, your diligence has paid off.

In the Caribbean, the PlayStation Store is back online.

PSN Back Online In The Caribbean (Update)

by Ernice Gilbert on May 15th, 2011, under Hot, News, PS3, PSN, Sony

Update 1: Sony’s just said that it turned off PSN for 30 minutes because of server overload:

“We’re currently experiencing an extremely heavy load of password resets, and so we recently had to turn off services for approximately 30 minutes to clear the queue,” wrote Patrick Seybold on the US PS Blog.

“As such, a large number of people are attempting to change their passwords at the same time, it’s taking longer than expected for all those emails to clear all of the ISPs.

If you’ve requested your password reset, please give it a bit of time to reach your email. Thanks for your patience as we work to get everyone back online.”

I know a lot of you are sending in reports from all over the Caribbean concerning this, so now you know what’s really going on. Sit tight.

Original Story: PSN has been gradually coming along, with portions of the U.S. and Europe being turned on as Sony promised a phased return, with full service coming at the end of May worldwide. Some people who haven’t received service would love to know the status for their location, and while in the U.S. things have been happening gradually, and the same in Europe, we can now report that the entire Caribbean is also coming back on.
