New Yoshi’s Island announced for 3DS

Nintendo today announced a new Yoshi’s Island game for the 3DS via its Nintendo Direct event, a title to be released later this year.

It’s Nintendo’s second Yoshi’s Island title to be announced this year, with the first being a game under development for Wii U, revealed in February, 2013.

The first Yoshi’s Island released in 1995 as a sequel to Super Mario World, and in the years since it’s seen its own sequels, the most recent and direct being Yoshi’s Island DS which released in 2006.

    i actually am gonna buy a 3ds for this. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island is easily my favorite mario game ever.
