Thirsty Conversations: Which Xbox 360 Games You Wish Were On PS3?

I’ll ask the opposite question in another TC thread, but let’s talk, for truth sake, about the countless nights you stayed up wishing you owned an Xbox 360 because of Gears of War 3, or the upcoming Halo 4, or something else.

Come on, drop the pride, fanboy, tell us the Xbox 360 exclusive games you’re simply jealous of. Ye shall tell the truth, and the truth shall set you free.

Let’s talk. Do It Here: The Official Games Thirst Confessions Hall.

    none tbh…

    1) Halo – i hate halo.

    2) Gears Of War – only time that game is good is when your playing with friends, other than that its boring to me at least.

    3) Alan Wake – great story, but gameplay is just plain repetitive and boring. for me gameplay always comes first and alan wake is crap in that aspect. but the “concept” of the gameplay is good i admit that.

    4) forza – don’t play racing simulators or racing games for that matter (except for nintendo racers like Mario Kart, Diddy Kong Racing etc. stuff thats actually fun to play.) i might buy littlebigplanet karting that is looking pretty cool.

    5) fable – i wouldn’t play that overhyped garbage even if they gave it to me for free.

there is more exclusives i could talk about but honestly they are not worth mentioning anyways. this why i sold my 360 no good games imo only thing it has is a pretty good online service but that isn’t really saying much because im not an online gamer to begin with.

I wish they all were. I hate exclusive games. I don’t want to switch round a bunch of cables if I decide to play halo instead of killzone. I mainly hate exclusives because of fanboys though. It’s amazing how people always manage to hate all the games that their console can’t play.

  3. Ghost250 April 18, 2012 at 8:54 am -

@Jospeh Garrett if companies did not have exclusives then there would be no competitiom which in that means less games

  4. Ernice Gilbert April 18, 2012 at 8:56 am -

@Ghost: At least you gave reasons why you don’t like the games you listed.

    You don’t like Crackdown? Witcher?

  5. Ernice Gilbert April 18, 2012 at 8:57 am -

@Joseph: True, good points… But exclusives are what make certain platforms worth buying….

  6. foxton April 18, 2012 at 9:02 am -

tbh honest i wouldnt know! simply because im a ps3 fanboy, have never owned an xbox so have never played any of the xbox games so i wouldnt no if id like them or not!!

  7. Ernice Gilbert April 18, 2012 at 9:06 am -

    @Foxton: I like honesty! LOL!

  8. Ernice Gilbert April 18, 2012 at 9:07 am -

But you should give it a shot sometimes, probably play the upcoming Halo at a friend’s house or something…

  9. Ernice Gilbert April 18, 2012 at 9:08 am -

    Because you never know…

  10. foxton April 18, 2012 at 9:12 am -

most of my friends arent into gaming, and those that are have either ps3′s or PC gaming!

  11. foxton April 18, 2012 at 9:14 am -

im sure i would like them, as im a gaming fanatic! i just dont like anything about xbox, even the pads just make me wanna smash it up! they just too big and chunky, they dont feel right. Im quite happy not to experience them, i cant afford to get into Xbox’s as well as ps3′s lol

  12. Ghost250 April 18, 2012 at 9:17 am -

@Ernice Gilbert crackdown was just one of those type of games i couldn’t really get into, not saying its bad or anything but its just not my kind of game. the witcher 2 i have not played so i can’t judge. i kind of considered keeping my xbox to play it but ultimately i didn’t think it was worth it tbh. from what i’ve heard its pretty good. the thing i do like about it is the fact that some of it is inspired by demons souls which is awesome.

  13. Ernice Gilbert April 18, 2012 at 9:23 am -

Yeah, true. Good points… But in truth, Microsoft does need to do more on the exclusive games side…

  14. Ernice Gilbert April 18, 2012 at 9:25 am -

“Even the pads just make me wanna smash it up! they just too big and chunky, they dont feel right” LOL

Some would say the same thing abut the PS3′s controller.

  16. Joseph Garrett April 18, 2012 at 1:02 pm -

Good point. It still sucks that so many people miss out on quality games. If there were less exclusives then consoles would have to compete in other ways though and the actual hardware and operating systems might improve more. Consoles maybe rely too much on their exclusives to drive sales.

  17. Ghost250 April 18, 2012 at 2:57 pm -

@Joseph Garrett but thats the whole point games are supposed to drive sales. as a gamer you should care less about what the hardware or OS of consoles, hell the next gen consoles could go back to 8-bit but as long as im getting more good games then there is no problem. more games is what matters, people are too infatuated with hardware instead of games, if people want to play the exclusive games on another console then they will spend the money for it.

  18. DahnStar April 18, 2012 at 4:40 pm -

Definitely the Halo series and The Witcher 2

  19. Wolf1888 April 18, 2012 at 6:39 pm -

Yeah, same as DahnStar for me, I like Halo, it is a lot of fun to play with friends. I never tried The Witcher 2, but I’ve seen videos and it looks amazing.

Also, one game I would’ve LOVED on PS is Dead Rising, the first one, that came out in the early times of the Xbox360. It was an exclusive, and I was amazed by the idea at the time, and wanted to play it so bad. The new ones freshly released are on PS3 too, though, so I can play them, finally.

  20. Ernice Gilbert April 18, 2012 at 6:54 pm -

@Dahnstar: Yesir, Halo and Witcher 2 a definitely games worth playing…

  21. Ernice Gilbert April 18, 2012 at 6:56 pm -

@Wolf: Yep. In the early years of this games generation (the seventh), Microsoft secured a lot of exclusive games for Xbox 360, because back then PS3 was looked about as a failure.

  22. nick April 19, 2012 at 5:48 am -

the witcher 2 would definitely be on top of that list simply because it feels like so much more could be done with it graphically!
it looks pretty good on the 360, but to be honest i was expecting it to look allot better!
id add crackdown on that list too, another game that really could benefit from better graphics.
alan wake and halo would be another 2 for the same reason, better graphics.
gears i would not want to see on ps3 simply because i cant see it looking much better then the 360 version simply because 1 its the UE3 engine and it runs poorly on ps3, and 2 its the UE3 engine and just as a engine its not exactly the most advanced engine out there!
id kill to see a remake of prey.
that has to be one of the best games of this generation, and what makes that so amazing is it was also one of the first!
    such a awesome game!!!!!!!!!

  23. Ernice Gilbert April 19, 2012 at 6:18 am -

For me it would be Gears of War, The Witcher, Halo and Fable… Yep.

  24. nick April 19, 2012 at 10:37 am -

    chicken dance?
    why chicken dance?
fable is the one game i wouldent want on the ps3!

  25. Ernice Gilbert April 19, 2012 at 10:42 am -

    Nothing wrong with Chicken dance.

  26. Ghost250 April 19, 2012 at 11:00 am -
