Battlefield 3 may not be Activision’s juggernaut which sells stupid amount of copies on launch day and months after, but the game sure can hold its own in the sales department. EA chief financial officer Eric Brown has revealed that the DICE shooter sold 8 million copies since it was released late in October.
Brown shared the news at the Baird Technology Conference, as reported by GameInformer, also revealing that EA’s shipped 12 million Battlefield 3 units thus far.
The game managed 5 million copies in its first week on sale, becoming EA’s biggest launch title ever. A new patch goes live for PS3 today, Xbox 360 soon after.
