If You’re Caught Playing Modern Warfare 3 Early, MS Might Ban You

If you’ve got in your Xbox 360 a copy of Modern Warfare 3, and are ready to jump online, be informed: your account stands the risk of being banned.

Director of Policy and Enforcement for Xbox Live, Stephen Tolouse, has said anyone playing MW3 before its been authorised for full play by Activision risk “impacting” their account.

“Clarification: dblchk’d with Activision. Mw3 pre-release play not authorized. So pls be patient. Playing early may impact your account!” he said on twitter.

He did say first, however, that if the copy of the game you’re playing is a legit one (there’s been pirated copies in circulation), then it’s “fair game”.
