Rockstar Developing For Wii2

by Ernice Gilbert on April 20th, 2011, under Hot, News, Nintendo

Oh boy. Things just went mental. Nintendo’s out for blood, it seems, as the legendary company’s looking to regain the hold it had on the hardcore crowed by introducing the Wii2, and what better way to do that than to bring GTA developer Rockstar on board.

French website 01net has been digging deep on Wii 2 rumors, and just like it did (correctly) with NGP, the site’s once again proving viable in Wii 2 details. Apart from breaking news about the Wii 2′s specs, its now rumoring that Rockstar, developer of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, are now working on the console, dubbed “Project Cafe” at the moment, to bring gamers….Grand Theft Auto 5?

According to 01net, Rockstar was among the first third-party studios to receive a software development kit for Project Cafe. The dev is reportedly readying itself to deliver a game “early” in the console’s life cycle.

The site wans’t specific on what game exactly, but more and more it’s looking like Rockstar’s gearing up to release GTA V on PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Project Cafe.

It would not be the first time Nintendo and Rockstar’s first collaboration, as Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars was released for DS in 2009. But although it rated well with critics, the game didn’t sell outstanding, even as DS is a 145 million-selling device.

this has about the same likelihood of happening as scooby doo making me breakfast tomorrow!
GTA is a 12M per launch selling series, so there going to limit that to a new unproven system?
yea, and pigs fly backwards while eating ice cream and reciting the national anthem!

How would they limit it? I think it’d sell better. It’s already on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, why not add another console…?
