It’s Monday, another day for the UK’s weekly game sales chart from Chart Track. How’s it looking for Crytek, you ask? Really good, as the developer’s Crysis 2 grabs the number position from Homefront.
Other than Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (Travellers Tales, LucasArts) which came in at number 2, and Homefront falling to the third spot, 3DS launch titles ruled the day.
Here’s the full quencher:
1 – Crysis 2 (Crytek, EA)
2 – Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (Travellers Tales, LucasArts)
3 – Homefront (Kaos Games, THQ)
4 – Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition (Capcom, Capcom)
5 – Pokemon White (Nintendo, Nintendo)
6 – Pilotwings Resort (Nintendo, Nintendo)
7 – Pokemon Black (Nintendo, Nintendo)
8 – The Sims: Medieval (EA, EA)
9 – Rayman 3D (Ubisoft, Ubisoft)
10 FIFA 11 (EA Sports, EA)
A breakdown of sales show the game sold best on Xbox 360, with said platform responsible for 58 percent, PS3 27 percent and PC 14 percent.
Great results all around, but for Homefront to still stand so tall, it’s a testament to many things – including the power of review scores, the power of multiplayer and the influence of friends.

reviews mean nothing!
look at homefront it got pretty poor scores and it sold quite well!
not surprised to see crysis 2 up there though, it has been getting allot of hype and EA are masters at advertising!
cant wait till crysis 3 comes out!
PC exclusive of course…………….
LOL – dream Nick, dream.
one can dream!
would be cool, crysis 2 has really disappointed me!
did you know crysis 2 actually has textures HALF the size of crysis?
was wondering why everything looked so low res and muddy!
crytek better really up the anty with the DX11 patch, otherwise theres going to be allot of flaming pitchforks outside there door!
and you can guess whos going to be leading them!
